Etymology

Particularly: “Considered an atomic non-decomposable unit by MED, and not given etymology. Doesn't seem to be mentioned by STEDT or Luce 1981. Strongly resembles an Indic loanword; related to Sanskrit उच्च (uccá, high, elevated)? The semantic mismatch is quite strange though - perhaps "elevated" > "the elevated elements of a person" > "possession, property"?”
