From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Georgian, from the earlier antecedent of Persian زمرد (zumurrud), according to Ačaṙean via (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Armenian զմրուխտ (zmruxt), earlier *զումուրուխտ (*zumuruxt).
