Etymology
From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Georgian ღორი (ɣori), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Georgian-Zan *ɣor- (“swine”); cognate with Mingrelian ღეჯი (ɣeǯi) and Laz ღეჯი (ğeci). Probably borrowed from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *ǵʰóryos (“pig”); compare also Ancient Greek χοῖρος (khoîros).
