Etymology[edit]
Borrowed from Scythian *Frakāna (“leader, chief”), composed of a cognate of Khotanese hā, itself from Scythian *frāk (“forward”), and of Avestan 𐬟𐬭𐬀𐬐𐬀 (fraka, “forward”, adjective) + the patronymic suffix *-āna.[1]
