-нина (-nina) (dual -нинат, plural -нинав'в'и)

  1. The third person patient suffix, marks the object of the verb.
    пыӈлунин (ʔынпыӄлавул)
    she asked him (the old man)
    ойипльыткунин
    he finished eating it

Usage notes

  • This suffix is used when the subject is the third person singular agent. If the subject is something different the suffixes -на and -тки are used instead.
  • When -нина is at the end of a verb, the suffix is reduced to -нин
