from Proto-Albanian *-sta- from Proto-Indo-European *-stā.[1] unrelated to Slavic -ište as it developed from Proto-Slavic *-išče.

    absolut + ‎-isht → ‎absolutisht (absolutely)
    • Note that adjectival suffixes are dropped when -isht is added.
    përgjithshëm + ‎-isht → ‎përgjithësisht (generally)
    jashtëzakonshëm + ‎-isht → ‎jashtëzakonisht (unusually)
