Etymology

The name was found on a list of Guanche slaves as the name of a 6-year-old girl from Tenerife, sold on the slave market of Valencia on 4 April 1494.[1][2]

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Guanche ⵜⴰⵗⵉⵙⵙⴰ (taɣissa), from *tahiɣəssah "skeleton; bones".[2]
