Borrowed from Spanish naranjas (“oranges”), plural of naranja (“orange”), from Arabic نَارَنْج (nāranj, “bitter orange”), from Persian نارنگ (nārang), from Sanskrit नारङ्ग (nāraṅga, “orange tree”).
