Romanian

dafin

Etymology

Probably from Late Latin daphinus, from Ancient Greek δάφνη (dáphnē). Also possibly from Serbo-Croatian dafina; other theories suggest this word was actually borrowed from Latin or Romanian. See also the related afin.
