From ade(l)a (hunter) +‎ me- (negation particle) +‎ kpɔ (to see) +‎ xe (bird), literally [month where] the hunter did not find the bird, traditionally referring to hunters unable to hunt animals, especially birds, due to foggy conditions during this period.
