Alphabets[edit]

Just to make things clear - this page is intended for 'alphabets' in a broader sense of that word, i.e. including abjads, abugidas, logogram-based writing systems etc.? So Phoenician, Ugaritic, Devanagari etc. should go here too, right? --Ivan Štambuk 16:01, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Right, except for logogram-based systems. Logogram-based scripts (e.g., Chinese) have too many glyphs to be included on this page. Even Egyptian hieroglyphs are too many, I think. But abjads and abugidas, yes. If we make a page for a logogram script such as hieroglyphics, it could be mentioned here along with a link to its page. —Stephen 13:50, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
