From Ancient Greek Βαγράδας (Bagrádas).

The source and declension of The Bagradas Fl in antiquity, was Djebel Rached (Amer) in the mid-center of Algeria ( Geographical Guides of Claudius Ptolemy and Pliny ). Bagrada related to " Cows-Baggaras Dragons) " blessed sources, then the river disappeard in Medjerda Zone Rivers ( Tunisia )
