Portuguese forms that have been superseded by other forms due to changes in spelling conventions.

Most of the following terms were officially used in Portuguese language from December 1971 until December 2008, when a reforming agreement achieved in 1990 took effect. An earlier agreement signed in 1945 (applied in Portugal in that same year and in Brazil about a decade later) also modified some of the spellings listed here.
