Describing or associating general meanings to Fula roots as such does not appear to have been done by anyone on any systematic basis. Christiane Seydou's root dictionary (C. Seydou, A Dictionary of Verb Roots in Fulfulde Dialects: Fulfulde-French-English, Éditions Karthala, 1998.) comes closest, giving specific meanings associated with verbs derived from the roots. This is an essential reference, but for purposes of giving short general "semantic field" definitions for Fula roots here, one has to do some interpolation from her data.--A12n (talk) 16:52, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
