Category talk:Maltese terms derived from Old Occitan

There is a certain number of words in Maltese from the closely related dialects of northeastern Spain and southeastern France. I've been using Old Occitan here as a general category for these words, based on the broader definition of "Old Occitan" as including Catalan. Most of these words are not recent, but still plausibly younger than 1400. So strictly we'd always have to write "from Catalan ... and/or Occitan ...". We already do that with Italian and Sicilian when the precise origin can't be told. But there at least it's relevant because often enough we are able to distinguish, and also because of the sheer mass of words.
