Shouldn't this just be Mandarin Pinyin? --Mglovesfun (talk) 18:39, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Could you describe in detail? Engirst 19:16, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Problem with this category

[edit]

First of all, "Mandarin pinyin" is not a language. Second of all, we do not have categories such as Category:Spanish words, though we do have Category:Spanish nouns, Category:Spanish verbs, etc. Why was this category allowed to have been made in the first place, and not deleted outright when it was noticed by our project's administrators? 71.66.97.228 08:16, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is just an experimental example for this proposal. Engirst 09:29, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
It should perhaps be Category:Mandarin entries in Pinyin script, to go along with Traditional and Simplified. 71.66.97.228, I think you've missed the point entirely. --Mglovesfun (talk) 09:40, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

It should like the example ài with brief English definition because beginners don't read Hanzi, otherwise it is useless for beginners. If users understand Hanzi, Pinyin entries are unnecessary for them. Please see here for your reference. Engirst 16:00, 22 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
