    Chicken is cooked in a variety of ways and two popular dishes are spicy chicken (làzi jī 辣子鸡) and a spicy chicken appetizer (kǒushuǐ jī 口水鸡) that's served cold. Chongqing's spring chicken (mineral water spring, not the season) is a local specialty. It's so good there's a whole street (nánshān quánshuǐjī yītiáojiē 南山泉水鸡一条街) dedicated to serving it. The chickens can be found by Nanshan Park at Huangjueya in the Nan'an District (南岸区黄桷垭南山公园).

    On November 14, 2011, Heywood had checked in to the Lucky Holiday Hotel in the Nan'an district of Chongqing. Some twenty-six hours later, he was found dead in his hotel room. The apparent cause of death was alcohol poisoning. Heywood's wife traveled from their home in Beijing to Chongqing, and with her agreement, Heywood's body was cremated. There was no autopsy.
