    Sinwu Township is adjacent to Guanyin Township in the north and Sinfong Township and Hukou Township of Hsinchu County in the south. Yongan Fishing Port in the west is an important location for the fishing industry. Residents earn their living by agricultural industry. Ponds can be discovered all over hills, spreading in Guanyin Township, Dayuan Township, Jhongli City, Pingjhen City, Yangmei Township in Taoyuan County and Hukou Township and Sinfong Township in Hsinchu County. “Ponds Series”(千塘羅列) becomes a unique scene on this island. “Guan Yin Appreciates Lotus” featured the early functions of these ponds and its later development.
