    aligatori (laŭvorte «esti aligatoro»): en Esperanto medio paroli en lingvo alia ol Esperanto, kiu estas gepatra lingvo nur de parto de la ĉeestantaro;
    "aligatori" (literally "to be an alligator"): to speak in an Esperanto environment in a language other than Esperanto, which is a native language of only part of the audience;
  • 2009 September, “Ne krokodilu!”, in La Riverego, number 97 (in French), page 3:
    Aligatori: parler la langue maternelle d’un espérantiste étranger plutôt que l’espéranto. On se demande alors pourquoi l’espéranto a été inventé.
    Aligatori: to speak the mother tongue of a foreign Esperantist rather than Esperanto. One then wonders why Esperanto was invented.
