- I decided to trade my car for another Volkswagen, a model named Santana. I traveled to Jequié during a weekend in September, 2002, and while I was coming back to Salvador I was almost involved in a lethal car crash near the city of Santo Estêvão. When I realized there was a truck coming in the opposite direction, I braked the car, which slid over to the opposite lane, face to face with another truck. I tried to miss it. The Santana slid over the road and "flew" inside a dense bush.
