      Standard anatomic texts do not provide a specific nomenclature for either the intraordinary or plantar ligaments of the calcaneus. Therefore, in this report, the intraordinary ligament between the talus and calcaneus will be referred to as the talocalcaneal ligament and the three plantar ligaments will be referred to as the medial, middle, and lateral plantar ligament.
