English citations of sarcoplast

  • 1883 December, “Zoology. A. General, including Embryology and Histology of the Vertebrata. Development of Muscle-fibres and their Union with Nerves”, in Journal of the Royal Microscopical Society, volume 3, number 6, pages 821–822:
The post-embryonic multiplication of fibres takes place by means of the structures described by Margo* under the name of “Sarcoplastin”; there are lines or chains of muscle-corpuscles, united by the protoplasm net, and derived by proliferation from the corpuscles of the original fibres; the sarcoplast gradually separates from the parent fibre, undergoing muscular differentiation meanwhile, and also becoming connected with the nerve.
