Description

An American soldier embracing a promiscuous woman outside a bar in World War II; warning of the danger of syphilis and gonorrhoea without using a condom. Colour lithograph after R. Epstein, 1943.

"Take a pro": i.e. a prophylactic. Opposite the bar is a shop marked "U.S. Army Prophylactic Station", presumably for the distribution of condoms.
