Etymology[edit]
From Ottoman Turkish غلطه, either borrowed from Greek Γαλατία (Galatía, “Galatia”) from Ancient Greek Γᾰλᾰ́τᾱς (Galátās, “Galatian”) or from Greek γαλατάς (galatás, “milkman”).

- former name of the Karaköy neighborhood in Istanbul
