Request to move 'User:CodeCat tracking' templates from User namespace to Template namespace

Hi. As per the title, I was wondering if the 'User:CodeCat tracking' templates can be moved out of the User namespace and into the Template namespace. For example, frame:expandTemplate{title = 'User:CodeCat/getCanonicalName tracking', args = {} }. I understand these are tracking categories with no visual impact on the page. However, the User namespace is not part of the enwiktionary-latest-pages-articles.xml.bz2 dump, and this is generallly the default dump for offline users. In particular, these template calls are generating hundreds to thousands of missing page errors in the log files for XOWA. I would guess they may cause similar issues for other offline apps / users. EDIT: I decided to remove the logging. I still feel that Modules shouldn't call pages in the User namespace, but my main motivation is gone. Gnosygnu (talk) 03:14, 10 April 2014 (UTC)
