Etymology

From ⁠br̥diš (high) +‎ 𐎶𐎴𐏃 (manaʰ, mind). Cognate with Old Median *B⁠r̥zimanah; compare with Sanskrit मनस् बृहत् (mánas- br̥hát-) and बृहत्मनस् (Bṛhát-manas-).[1][2]
