Proto-Indo-European[edit]

Etymology[edit]

Due to its unusual root structure[1] (namely DʰRT), the root is probably an extension of Proto-Indo-European *bʰer- (to bear, to gather) with *-kʷe (so that).

Root[edit]

*bʰrekʷ-[2]

  1. to stuff
  2. to amass
