Might this rather have been a u-stem, considering Gothic þaúrnus and the Old English byform þyrn? Leasnam (talk) 03:45, 10 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Probably. Kroonen reconstructs it as an a-stem due to the extra-Germanic cognates, but it's definitely possible for it to have changed since then. Anglom (talk) 05:45, 10 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
