Link to apparently unrelated PIE root.[edit]

In the etymology, it says "from Proto-Indo-European *dhewbh- ('to whisk; smoke; make obscure')", but the link goes to a root with the same form, but a completely different meaning ("deep"). This is disorienting. The likely explanation is that there are two different PIE roots reconstructed as *dhewbh-, one meaning "whisk, etc." and the other meaning "deep". The former is not yet in Wikipedia, so I think we shouldn't link to it as if it were. — This unsigned comment was added by 38.97.76.148 (talk).

This isn't Wikipedia, and besides, a missing etymology is not an excuse to remove the link in my opinion. If you're certain they are different etymons, you can try to create the entry yourself, or if not (or you're not sure how to), you can request it be done on WT:ES. — surjection?19:14, 27 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
