The reference to Grimm's Law is not specific. If voiceless plosive /k/ assumes migration to x, what about the following?
From Proto-Indo-European *kelh₁- (“to call, shout”). Cognate with Latin clāmō, clārus, classis, concilium, Ancient Greek καλέω (kaléō). calō (present infinitive calāre, perfect active calāvī, supine calātum); first conjugation I call, announce solemnly, call out.
Or, *kelh₁- would need a prior /g/; yet *kelh₁- exists in PIE; and, calō is a Latin product of it
It is a question of the PIE connection to "call", of which kalzōną does not appear strong — This unsigned comment was added by 71.9.236.229 (talk).
