Reconstruction[edit]

This word would seem to be a long-grade verbal adjective to a strong verb *samaną to the root *sem(H)-, but that root doesn't seem to be verbal in any other language that I can see. Also, the long vowel appears in other nominal categories, so I'm not sure if it's even long-grade altogether or not. Anglom (talk) 03:24, 9 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
