Reconstruction

Kroonen reconstructs this as *swumslą, which seems possible if the -w- had already been restored in Proto-Germanic, or if the Pre-Germanic form was *swm̥slom instead. In view of *sundą though, I chose to reconstruct it this way. I don't mind moving it if others agree with the reconstruction as *swumslą, however.

Gothic also shows signs of an -f- in some forms, which seems to be epenthetic. Anglom (talk) 03:46, 5 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
