Collective as distinct from plural?[edit]

Any source for the collective in -o:r as opposed to the plural in -h2? Usually, -h2 is considered to be a collective suffix, and it is said that neuters had no plural apart from the collective.--95.42.25.28 02:22, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This has the suffix *-h₂, but due to Szemerényi's law, the overt suffix is lost with compensatory lengthening. —Rua (mew) 10:19, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
OK, but the inflection table currently has both -orh₂ and -o:r in different functions - plural and collective, respectively.--95.42.25.28 08:52, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not seeing it. There's the collective *-ōr and the plural *-r̥h₂. —Rua (mew) 14:25, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
