User:Robbie SWE, can you provide a reference about movilă and moghilă not being borrowings from Slavic?

moghilă is borrowed from Proto-Slavic, whereas movilă is probably from a Ukrainian or a similar language that has "h" instead of Proto-Slavic "g" ("f" may get turn to "v" in Romanian for ease of pronunciation). Bogdan (talk) 12:43, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

The etymology here represents the theories presented in DER (1958-1966). Just a friendly reminder: original research is not permitted on Wiktionary – just because you don't agree with a source, doesn't mean that you get to purge it of ambiguity. --Robbie SWE (talk) 16:41, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
