Luxembourgish

Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old High German sterno, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Germanic *sternǭ, *sternô, ultimately from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *h₂stḗr. Although the form Stär would seem at first sight to be derived from the variant sterro, it is indeed from sterno since -är is the regular Luxembourgish development of Old High German -ern (compare gär from gerno, and Kär from kerno).
