Slavic word has Baltic (and possibly Indo-European parallels, but I still need to check that) parallels, which match formally and semantically, as well as widespread distribution on toponyms in Serbia and Macedonia. So it's probably an inherited word, and not a borrowing from Illyrian/Albanian whatever substratum. --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 21:29, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
