Woman[edit]

@LissanX It seems to me that بَغِيَّة (baḡiyya) does not exist in Classical Arabic, also in Qurʾān 19:20 a woman speaks. بَغِيَّة (baḡiyya) seems to be a modern try of dialects to regularize the form. Fay Freak (talk) 11:24, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi @Fay Freak. It does not appear in the Quran, but it is in other Classical Arabic texts. One example is this excerpt from the Hadith compilation Bihar Al-Anwar, Volume 55:

فيما قاله عليه‌السلام في مذمة عمرو بن الشانئ اللعين الأبتر ، وأن أمه كانت بغية ، وأنه ولد على فراش مشترك
