Etymology of the word

So I've done a little research and the turkish word kedi (specifically the form kedisi) seemed like a very sensible choice for me. Now I know that some people think it comes from the nubian word keddiiska so maybe we're able to to to put them both in the section like some pages do? would love to hear your thoughts.
