كَوْثَر[edit]

@Lo Ximiendo According to Ibn Manẓūr's Lisān al-Arab, it derived from the root ك ث ر. But according to the more recent lexicon, Lexicon of the Modern Arabic Language, it derived from the root ك و ث ر. However, كَوْثَر semantically related to any word derived from ك ث ر.

It means abundance.

It also said in Lisān al-Arab: of dusts, when it emanates, increases, and makes a curly, volute shape.

From Lisān al-Arab (again), as an adjective it means very generous man, man with plenty of goodness. And the rest of the explanation mentions the Quran verse and ahadith about الكَوْثَر (al-kawṯar), the river in paradise that provided specially for Prophet Muhammad, also the name of surah 108. -- Heydari (talk|contibs) 23:41, 10 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
