Etymology

Opinions on the etymology? I find it unlikely that this term is borrowed from Hebrew. I'd be willing to say that it was rather borrowed from Aramaic יְרוּשְׁלֶם, which transliterates exactly to یَرُوشَلَم (yarūśalam), perhaps even a learned borrowing by the Christians of the subcontinent pre-partition era. نعم البدل (talk) 20:39, 23 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
