Nineveh Plains pronunciation

@Shuraya Hi there I have a question, I seem to recall hearing Alqoshnaye pronounce this word as “kāḏū”. Just wanted to confirm with you what pronunciation you would add to this article. Antonklroberts (talk) 04:53, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

Hi, I haven’t heard this word ever used in the vernacular so I’m not sure how it is pronounced by NPD speakers who have adopted it. However we do usually adopt classical Syriac words with their full original doubling and pronunciation so I think kādhu would be irregular and would expect kaddu Shuraya (talk) 04:58, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
