@AryamanA Hey, I tried to add (mainly from McG) to this would you please see if any cleanup or additions are required. There is also a very interesting definition of this word given in Rajpal: उत्पाती, उपद्रवी (जैसे—क़ाफ़िर हुस्न), I'm not sure how to translate/add this, it would be great if you could do that.

Still trying to get a grep of Wikt and I really learn from your edits. Thanks. Gotitbro (talk) 13:36, 1 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Gotitbro: It seems to mean something like "violent" or "destructive". Shabd-sagar has the term too. If seems Rajpal's definition falls under "२. ईश्वर को न माननेवाला । निर्दय । निष्ठुर । बेदर्द ।". Not sure how often it is used in that sense these days though, I would think not at all. By the way, are you a native Hindi speaker? —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 15:46, 1 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
@AryamanA: Yes, I thought so (on the lines of "upending" from the Rajpal def); Rajpal seems to borrow a lot from Shabdasagar. NB: Rajpal is the dict that appears on Google Dictionary when you google for meanings in Hindi).

Yes actually, why do you ask? Gotitbro (talk) 16:30, 1 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Gotitbro: I was just wondering, we don't really get many native Hindi speakers :) It's nice to have more. Also, it's recommended to keep a Template:Babel on your userpage so people know what languages you are proficient in. —AryamanA (मुझसे बात करेंयोगदान) 17:08, 1 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
