Labio-dental or labio-velar?

Given the sourced statement in the Wikipedia article 'Sanskrit grammar' that "In the earlier language, व was pronounced as the labio-velar approximant [w], but it later developed into a labio-dental sound.", shouldn't the transcriptions on Wiktionary have a [w] at least for the Vedic version?--95.42.25.28 15:40, 3 February 2021 (UTC)
