Etymology[edit]

The word for north ಬಡಗಣ (baḍagaṇa) has the -aṇa ending, Dravidian has the root ten and NP is a common reflex of NPP then how is it a loan form Indo-Aryan? By that time Kannada also had voicing distinction. Also how come dravidian languages have words for east north and west but not south? AleksiB 1945 (talk) 18:41, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
