Pronunciation of Vedic Anusvara

[edit]

@AleksiB 1945, I'm going to add the vedic anusvara pronunciation to the website; I'm not sure why you keep deleting it out. There are literally hundreds of sources where you may learn how to pronounce it. According to the vedic chanting and guidelines I've heard, It is a nasal made with open velum and the lips closed. To my knowledge there is no other way to describe this sound in IPA other than /ⁿm̩/ or /ᵑm̩/, and I'd be more than pleased to hear why you keep reverting the pronunciation and why you believe it's incorrect. Prenasal is not an alian feature, it's present in other indo Aryan languages like Sinhala. P.S. All latin transcription of Vedic Chanting uses the Vedic extension character ꣳ to denote a Vedic Anusvara.
