Talk:മുട്ട്

I would like to create an entry for the word മുട്ട (muTTa), meaning egg.

As you can see, the half vowel on മുട്ട് contrasts with the a vowel on മുട്ട. For some reason, when I search up മുട്ട Wiktionary, it redirects to മുട്ട്. Clearly, these two words should be different entries, although there may be words in which these two vowels are in free variation.

I'm not sure what on the backend is causing this.

I decided to ping you, Chuck Entz, because as an admin you might understand this better.

@GoateeBoi: Because മുട്ട (muṭṭa) does not have an entry yet, wiktionary's search will redirect you to an entry that already exists with the closest spelling; in most cases, it's just a word with one different vowel or one less vowel. You can click on the red link (മുട്ട (muṭṭa)) to create the entry and it'll appear in the search (not right away - it takes some time to update itself). -- Bhagadatta(talk) 07:31, 31 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
