@RcAlex36: I've never heard it in Mandarin. I've only heard it being used in Hokkien. The dog2 (talk) 19:31, 10 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Anumengelamun, Wiikipedian Is this word used in Malaysian Mandarin? RcAlex36 (talk) 04:20, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
? I've no idea why you summoned me for...my Mandarin is sort of basic, unfortunately. - Anumengelamun (talk)
@Anumengelamun I thought you spoke Mandarin since you edited Module:zh/data/dial-syn/清真寺 in diff. Are you certain that 清真寺 and 回教堂 are used in both Malaysian Mandarin and Penang Hokkien? RcAlex36 (talk) 04:39, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
(at), Oh, that one! I was very confused when I was summoned to this entry's talk page and not 清真寺's, that's why I remarked as such. But, yeah, I do recall 清真寺 being used for "mosque" in the vocabulary list for learning Mandarin here in Malaysia (as a non-native speaker). - Anumengelamun (talk) 06:05, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@RcAlex36: 七早八早 is used in Malaysian Mandarin, and pretty sure in Singaporean Mandarin as well to an extent. 回教堂 is used Malaysian Mandarin, never heard of 清真寺 being used in Malaysian Mandarin, although it might be used limitedly. Wiikipedian (talk) 05:55, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@RcAlex36 Yes, the term is used in Taiwan Mandarin, its meaning is just the same as in Taiwanese Hokkien. --TongcyDai (talk) 06:14, 11 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
