Is this really Chinese? And pronounced "dagu" not "taigu"? Kappa 10:40, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In Chinese, it should be 大鼓 dàgǔ (not 太鼓 tàigǔ). However, there are a number of Chinese language websites which use 太鼓, borrowed directly from Japanese. I updated the entry to reflect this.

"daiko"[edit]

This term is pronounced "daiko" when preceded by another word (via rendaku). Thus, in the Japanese section the pronunciation "daiko" should be added. 71.66.97.228 20:14, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We won't be adding any main entries for terms where the only change is rendaku. See the notes at Wiktionary:Requested_entries:Japanese/Non-romaji#Unsorted_Kanji for details. -- Eiríkr Útlendi │ Tala við mig 08:00, 22 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
