Re: offering a treat to an unappreciative audience (due to the gap in knowledge or one's unromanticness)
As used here, grammatically, "due to ..." should introduce the reasons why one would offer a treat. But I presume it's intended to suggest reasons why the audience might be unappreciative. Therefore, I suggest rewording, perhaps as "offering a treat to someone who is unable to appreciate it (because they are uncultured or unromantic)".
By lexicographic convention, the one in one's unromanticness should refer to the subject of the verb (the person doing the offering), rather than its indirect object (the unappreciative audience).
Personally, I'd avoid using a word like "unromanticness" :-)
