old chinese readings?

[edit]

The pronunciation of this character in old chinese is *zoːns. This alone isn't much for concern, if it weren't for the fact that the character this character is a variant of, 攢, has the old chinese readsings *ʔsaːns and *ʔsoːnʔ. Why is there a difference in readings here for what are supposedly the same characters? 三河孝達(雝之) (talk) 00:37, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
